How this works
Each entry holds tickets — one, unless you write ×3, x3 or
*3 after it for three. A pick draws one ticket from all the tickets still in the hat,
using crypto.getRandomValues and throwing away any draw that would favour the first
entries, so an entry with three tickets is exactly three times as likely as one with a single
ticket, and nothing else tilts it. The same name written on two lines counts as two entries; the
page points that out, because it is usually a pasting accident rather than a decision.
Picking several at once draws them one after another without putting any back, so the same entry never appears twice in one pick, and the order they come out is the order printed — first place, second place. Take winners out keeps them out for the next press as well, which is right for a raffle with several prizes or for going round a room; untick it and every press draws from the full list again. Put everyone back refills the hat without touching the list.
The list is read afresh whenever you edit it, and the record of who has been picked lives in this tab only: close it and it is gone. Nothing you paste is sent or stored; the Dark button keeps its own setting in this browser's local storage. Up to 5,000 entries, and up to 1,000 tickets each.
